| The
Beetle Kingdom
Not an official monarchy, the Beetle's society was founded on
a principle of free election. Their chief elected representative
holds the title of King. For the longest time anyone with the
will could run for election. But the last three decades have
seen the position filled exclusively by members of a single
family. Political wags fear this might be the beginning of a
dynasty. |

The
Hive
"Long live the Queen!"
Words the Hive citizens live by. Their entire genetic infrastructure
revolves around their Queen, she is the only one capable of reproduction.
As such every aspect of The Hive is co-ordinated around keeping
their Queen healthy and happy. |

| The
Nation of the Red Son
One of the two Ant nations. The Sons believe that they are descended
from two brothers, each in competition for their Father's grace.
As a result today's Red Sons are militant and in the extreme
and routinely attempt to eradicate citizens of the Black Son
nation. |
| |
| The
Nation of the Black Son
The underdog in the perpetual war between the two Ant nations.
The Black Sons cling to the belief that their father will return
and rescue them from their murderous Red brothers. Until that
day arrives it is their duty to survive and continue their proud
traditions. |

| Termite
Colony
Ruled equally by an informed King and Queen, one governing external
affairs, the other internal. The Termite Collective does it's
best to operate independent of other sovereign nations. Their
citizens live under kilometer long domes surrounded by mountainous
trees. They are a closed society where no one is allowed to
leave or enter. |
| |
| The
Matriarchy of Spiders
A culture in which the females are the rulers. It is the females
who operate the businesses, females who lead conjugations, females
who write the books, and females who lead the armies. The males
are merely servants who do the dirty work on and off the battlefield. |

| Free
Insectica |
| The
remainder of Insectica where many of the smaller clans co-exist
either together or in small pockets throughout. Here there are
no borders and squirmishes among clans are frequent.
|
Within
the vast wastelands of earth, lie a thriving oasis known as Insectica.
Through centuries of warfare, boundaries have been shaped and reshaped.
Leaders have risen and fallen. Powerful nations have come and gone,
but no one has ever ruled all of Insectica.
Currently
only six nations stand intact. The Beetle Kingdom, The Hive, The Nations
of the Red Son, The Nation of the Black Son, The Termite Colony, and
The Matriarchy of Spiders. The re-emergence of the Poison Society however,
is threatening the current balance of power.
